So after 29 hours on train, very early in the morning we arrived to Ekaterinburg: 4:09am 10 July...

Then after a little rest in a hotel we were ready to explore the city:
the Church on Blood (for the memory of the last Romanov tsar and his family who were killed exactly on that spot):

some souvenirs again:

Niko with his Russian hat :)

a residential house for the president if he wishes to come to Ekaterinburg:

not far from it in a passage way there is a graffiti on the wall... :)

Ekateringburg in 1723:

yes, some soviet heritage...

the main street:

another ortodox church:

Not far from the city a monastery was built, again for the memory of the killed Romanov family:

it's nice...

but still under construction... plus, maybe it will be a bit too much with this artificial lake...

Then also not far from the city there is the Europe - Asia border!!! The Ural Mountains are not that high as people imagine and around Ekaterinburg there are no mountains at all... just this thing...

you can make a wish then tie a ribbon:

the red one is mine...

and the "border"

yes, I want to go...

and I managed... I got the certificate :)
