Night Train from St. Petersburg to Moscow

The first experience on Russian train, 3rd class: everyone together, no separate compartments.
On the following drawing the cubes are the places of the beds: each with 2 floors, a bed down and a bed up, then still above a shelf for the luggage. There is also place for luggage below the down bed.
The blue spots are the windows and the grey area is the corridor (really narrow).
The side bed near the window "consists of" 2 chairs and the table: the latter can be folded down and then it forms the bed. Mattress and sheets, blankets are provided.

It is quite confortable! Myself, I expected much worse but despite that I'm not a good sleeper, I had no problems sleeping on any Russian train!

There are approx 9-10 of the 6-bedded "compartments" in one vagon, which equals to 54-60 bed per vagon. So the atmosphere is really like a Russian family. Especially it was for us, becasue we were 35 people together :) this was OUR BIG RUSSIAN FAMILY.
